It’s no secret that he’s been having financial problems for quite some time. And now Michael Jackson is set to appear in a British court next week to testify in a lawsuit filed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Khalifa.

According to the court documents, the Bahraini prince is owed $7 million in an unpaid loan. In addition, Jackson also reneged on a contract to record a new album and write an autobiography.

Initially, the “Thriller” singer tried to get out of the court appearance with a letter from his doctor that said he was too sick to travel at this time. But when the judge didn’t buy it, he was ordered to appear.

Michael’s attorney, Robert Englehart, told the High Court in London, “He has been cleared by his medical advisers to travel in two days’ time. Mr. Jackson is intending to travel to this country ... and will be available to give evidence to your lordship.” Jackson is expected to try and convince the court that the money was a gift, and that the projects were never finalized.

Hmm I don't think someone would give him all that money as a gift?

I agree with Kerry, that is a lot of money to go throwing around and unless they were family I would never believe it was a gift. Maybe he loaned it from him and now cant afford to pay it back. Then again, I dont know how much Michael has now

its just said on the news that michael didnt even have to show up in court as it was settled out of court.
